Sourcing Motorcycle Parts in China (Day 4): Follow Up & Build Trust

Hi everyone,

My name is Nuno Castro. I’m Colombian-Portuguese and have spent most of my life here in China.

Today was focused on following up on our Brazilian client's orders and making sure everything was properly organized before his departure back to Brazil.

After several days of sourcing, factory research, and supplier communication, our priority today was to make sure that all the remaining tasks were completed.

We continued sourcing additional products the client was interested in, including metal bending machines and nitrogen gas air compressors for welding.

With the client preparing to leave China, it was important for us to make sure that nothing was overlooked.

Our goal was to complete every task that needed to be handled before his departure and ensure that he felt confident and comfortable knowing that his business and orders were in good hands.

For us, the relationship with a client does not end when they leave China. In many ways, that is when our work becomes even more important.

We want our clients to know that they have a team here that can continue following up with factories, checking orders, solving problems, and keeping them informed even when they are thousands of kilometers away.

I also spent about an hour with my business partner discussing marketing strategies and ways to improve the structure of our company.

One of our main goals is to create a system that allows us to provide every client — both new and existing — with the same high level of service throughout the entire process.

From sourcing and ordering to factory inspections, storage, and shipping, we want to build a workflow where every stage is organized and clearly managed.

At the same time, we understand that teamwork is about more than simply dividing responsibilities. Each person on our team may have different experience, knowledge of certain markets, or strengths in different parts of the process. We want to create an environment where everyone does their part, while also being willing to support one another whenever someone has more experience or a better understanding of a particular market or situation.

Our long-term goal is to standardize and improve the entire sourcing process, making it as transparent and efficient as possible for our clients.

We want our clients to have a clear understanding of where their products are, what stage their orders are in, and what is happening at every step of the process. Most importantly, we want to help them avoid unnecessary mistakes and wasted time.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple: make sourcing from China easier, more transparent, and more reliable for our clients, while building a system that allows us to deliver that same level of service consistently as our company grows.
